Hi Folks,
Please continue to keep those in the midst of disaster areas in your prayers.
This Sunday, October 6, is the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture is Mark 10:13-16. The sermon is "Childlike". We will be celebrating World Communion Sunday. The service will be livestreamed on Facebook and available for later viewing on Facebook and YouTube.
We are in our Season of Generosity. This year’s theme is in keeping with our 300th anniversary celebration: “Let’s Keep Going…300 Years and Counting”. In Gathering Sunday is October 27th.
To commemorate our 300th anniversary, we are putting together a Memory Book with Picture Directory. The final photo session is October 6, following the service. A light brunch will be provided for those waiting. Photos for the directory are free. “Build your own” photo packages will be available for purchase. Sign-up in the Alcove or contact Sue Schmitt.
The Neighbors in Need offering, which we will receive on OCTOBER 6, supports the UCC’s ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. This year’s Neighbors in Need theme “Mental Health Justice for All: Mental Health is a Universal Human Right” highlights our God-given right to mental health. Everyone is created in God’s image, and everybody should receive quality mental health care. Please give generously. Envelopes will be available Sunday. Donations may also be made through EFT via our church website, www.huntingtonucc.org

Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
