This Week December 22, 2020

 Dear Folks,

Here we are, Christmas week! I know it's a different one than we have ever faced, but, know that the Spirit of God's love, hope, peace, and joy is with us.

Thank you all so much for the gifts, cards, and well wishes during this Christmas season. I am so grateful for your generosity and so blessed to be a part of this loving and caring community of faith! You are such blessings!

Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols will be live-streamed on Facebook at 4 P.M. The bulletin is attached. The service will be posted later on Facebook and YouTube.

The outdoor informal Christmas Eve service at 8:30 P.M. is CANCELLED due to the predicted lousy weather. I will live-stream it instead, so please have a candle ready! The service will be posted later on Facebook and YouTube.

This Sunday, December 27, is the the First Sunday After Christmas. This is an informal service. The service will be live-streamed on Facebook. It will also be posted on Facebook and YouTube later.

Due to the rise in COVID numbers and the expected surge after Christmas, Sunday in person worship service is suspended until February 21. The Church Council will reevaluate at the time progresses.

Let us pray. O God, may you give birth again to Christ in our hearts and in our lives. Amen.

In Christ's love,

Rev. Lucille

This Week December 15, 2020

 Dear Folks,

Looks like we have snow storm coming! Please stay safe and warm.
At the end of this year, we say good bye to our Minister of Music, James Bruni, as he continues his journey. We are grateful for the time he shared with us. We wish him, Lorraine, and his family all God's blessings!
This Sunday, December 20, is the Fourth Sunday in Advent. The scripture is Isaiah 7:10-15. The sermon is "Love & Choice".
Due to the rise in COVID numbers and the expected surge after Christmas, this will be the final Sunday worship service until February 21. The Church Council will reevaluate at the time progresses. Please reserve your seat for Sunday worship by emailing the office at hcc@snet.net by Thursday. If you normally attend and are not planning to, please also notify the office. Please remember not to congregate in the Alcove before or after the service. It's up to all of us to keep each other safe!
The service will be live-streamed on Facebook. It will also be posted on Facebook and YouTube later.
Our Longest Night Service will be held on Monday, December 21 at 6:30 P.M. We will be in person and live-streamed on Facebook. If you plan on being in person, please reserve your seat by Friday, December 18 by emailing Karen at hcc@snet.net.
Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols will be live-streamed on Facebook at 4 P.M.
Dependent on the weather, we are planning on an outdoor informal Christmas Eve service at 8:30 P.M. in the back parking lot at HCCUCC. It will be a drive-in service and folks will stay in their cars with the windows open, so bundle up. Please bring a battery candle, a small flashlight or a cell phone flashlight app.
If you have not returned your Faith Promise/Pledge card yet, please do so ASAP. Thank to you all who have already! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS app can be downloaded on your cell phone. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
Let us pray. O God of life, light, and love. May the flame of the Advent candles ignite in our hearts the blessings of Christ and Christ's hope, peace, joy, and love. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
