This Week September 29, 2020

 Dear Folks,

If it's going to be so dreary, it should go ahead and rain already!  Am I right?!

Just a reminder that attendance in the sanctuary is by reservation only.  Reserve your seat by emailing the church office at hcc@snet.net. The deadline for reservations is the Thursday before each Sunday.  If you are planning to attend most of the time, you only need to reserve once, but you will need to notify the office if you are not coming.  The maximum attendance is 30.  Mask must be worn and physical distancing must be observed.  The success and safety of our in building services depend on you!

This Sunday, October 4, is the Eighteenth Sunday After Pentecost.  We will be celebrating World Communion. For those of you worshiping in the sanctuary, please bring your own elements.  We will have some available if needed.  For those at home, have your elements ready.

The scripture is Philippians 3:4b-14.  The sermon is "The Heavenly Call".

The service will be live streamed on Facebook. It will also be posted on Facebook and YouTube later.

If you have not returned your Faith Promise/Pledge card yet, please do so ASAP.  Thank to you all who have already!

We are planning (depending on the weather) to have a last hurrah outdoor worship on October 11 followed by a physically distanced fellowship hour in the back parking lot.  Bring your own beverage and goodie!  If attending, you will still need to reserve your spot even if you come every Sunday.  The service will be live streamed.  If the weather is bad, we will move to the sanctuary and forego the fellowship hour.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital.  Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS app can be downloaded on your cell phone.  Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available.  Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  O God, may your holy Spirit inspire us to keep working in your world with hands of generosity and hearts of love.  Amen.

In Christ's love,

Rev. Lucille
