HCCUCC This Week June 2, 2026

Dear Folks,

Can you believe it's June already???

We are having our Community Tag Sale on Saturday, June 6, 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.  Spaces are still available for $20.  Contact the church for more details.

This coming Sunday, June 7, is the Second Sunday after Pentecost.  We will be celebrating Holy Communion, so be sure to have your elements handy.   The scripture is Matthew 9:9-13,18-26.  The sermon is "Mercy". The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.

Graduate Sunday – June 14.

Women's Fellowship is planning a "Make and Take" event, including a pizza party.  The craft will be a red, white, and blue decoration in celebration of the United States' 250-year celebration.  The cost is $10. Date and Time TBA.

Women’s Fellowship will be collecting backpacks for local schools, and items for Church World Service school kits during June and July.  Besides backpacks, we need the following:  3 subject notebooks, plastic water bottles, colored pencils box of 12, 2- pocket folders, 30cm/12” rulers, Hand-held pencil sharpeners, & pencil pouches.  There will be a box in the alcove.

The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House June’s focus is canned/jarred fruit, kid’s juice boxes, bottled iced tea, canned tuna, and condiments. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box also needs to be stocked. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Wednesday Nights in the Summer! Our Vitality Team will once again be handing out free bottled water and our Men’s Group will be selling hot dogs each Wednesday in summer during the Concert on the Green (Music Under the Stars). Donations of water would be greatly appreciated!  Please put water in the Fellowship Hall and mark it with COG. Also, everyone is welcome to help!  It’s fun! Thank you!

Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed – We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
