This Week August 29, 2023

 Dear Folks,

It's my first day back after my 12-week sabbatical!  Thank you all so much for the opportunity for study and refreshment.

A big thank you to the office manager, Karen Boroski, the Deacons, our organist, Deb DeMusis, and our supply preacher, Lillian Steinmayer, for holding down the fort in my absence.

Back to our normal programming...

This Sunday, September 3, is the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost.  We will be celebrating Holy Communion, so be sure to have your elements ready.  The scripture is Ephesians 4:31-32.  The sermon is "I Forgive You".  This week is our Auction Sermon won by David Beardsley.

Every Communion Sunday, we take an offering for the Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF):  HCCUCC’s Emergency Assistance Fund assists people within the Shelton community and/or our church community who have an urgent, unexpected need for financial assistance. EAF offering envelopes are available in the pews on Communion Sundays. Thank you for your generosity!
