This Week December 1, 2020

 Dear Folks,

May this Season of Advent be a time for all of us to look to the Christ Child for our hope, peace, joy, and love.

This Sunday, December 6, is the Second Sunday in Advent. The scripture is Isaiah 40:1-11. The sermon is "Peace & Comfort".

We will be celebrating Holy Communion.

Please reserve your seat for Sunday worship by emailing the office at hcc@snet.net by Thursday. If you normally attend and are not planning to, please also notify the office. Please remember that as the COVID 19 numbers increase, we need to be extra careful in our interactions. Please remember not to congregate in the Alcove before or after the service. It's up to all of us to keep each other safe!

The service will be live-streamed on Facebook. It will also be posted on Facebook and YouTube later.

Our Longest Night Service will be held on Monday, December 21 at 6:30 P.M. We will be in person (at this point) and live-streamed on Facebook. If you plan on being in person, please reserve your seat by Friday, December 18 by emailing Karen at hcc@snet.net.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS app can be downloaded on your cell phone. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray. O God of hope, fill us with all hope that you walk with us in the darkness and in the light, showing us the path of your divine compassion. Amen.

In Christ's name,

Rev. Lucille
