Dear Folks,
Please continue to pray for Australia, Puerto Rico, our Troops and all in harm's way, and of course, for peace.
My prayer day is tomorrow, Thursday, January 9. If you have any joys or concerns you would like me to raise up, please let me know.
This Sunday, January 12, is the Baptism of Christ. The scripture is Matthew 3:13-17. The sermon is "Washed Over or Washed Up."
There will be a meeting of the Women’s Fellowship Executive Board in the library following the Sunday service.
Every new year, we start our Prayer List anew. Please let Karen know if you would like to have anyone you placed on the list in 2019 to remain for 2020. Just a reminder: for the sake of privacy, make sure you have the person's permission to have their name published. Thank you!
Spooner House Meal envelopes are located in the sanctuary pews for anyone who would like to donate towards the monthly meals.
Registration is now open for Huntington Center Nursery School 3 & 4 yr. old 2020-2021 school year. Registration forms can be found on the HCNS bulletin board in the alcove or contact our Director, Linda Rizzitelli at 203-929-7197.
Please take note of the poster in the Alcove with suggested items for the Valley Food Bank bin in Fellowship Hall. Of course, all items are gratefully accepted, but the Missions Committee put together a list that attempts to target items that may be needed more during certain seasons or months. The need is great, so please be generous!

The 296th Annual Meeting of the Huntington Congregational UCC will be held following worship on Sunday, January 26, 2020 for the purpose of electing officers, accepting the 2020 budget, and any other business that properly comes before the meeting. Child care will be provided. The snow date is Sunday, February 2, 2020.
Let us pray. Sometimes, O God, we have no words for our prayers. May you listen to our hearts. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
