Dear Folks,
I hope you all had a joyous Christmas!
Thank you all for the gifts, cards, and well-wishes this Christmas
Season. You are a blessing to me!
This Sunday, January 5, is the Second Sunday After Christmas.
For our service, we will be commemorating Epiphany. The
scripture is Matthew 2:1-12. The sermon is "What Will We
Bring?" It will be interactive, just sayin'.
The first Holy Communion of 2020 will be celebrated.
The Emergency Assistance Fund offering will also be taken.
This fund is for any immediate emergency need in our church
community and our community at large.
After worship, the Deacons will be de-decorating. Any help
would be greatly appreciated!
Every new year, we start our Prayer List anew. Please let
Karen know if you would like to have anyone you placed on the list
in 2019 to remain for 2020. Just a reminder: for the
sake of privacy, make sure you have the person's permission to have
their name published. Thank you!
The 296th Annual Meeting of the Huntington Congregational UCC will
be held following worship on Sunday, January 26, 2020 for the
purpose of electing officers, accepting the 2020 budget, and any
other business that properly comes before the meeting. Child
care will be provided. The snow date is Sunday, February 2,
2020.
Let us pray. O Holy God of Light and Love, may the light of
the star that guided the Magi to the Christ Child still be burning
brightly in our hearts as we seek to do Christ's work of hope,
peace, joy, and love in this world. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
