This Sunday, October 30, is the Twenty-First Sunday after Pentecost.  We will be observing All Saints' Day.  The Scripture is Luke 19:1-10.  The sermon is "Climbing Higher".  The service will be on-site and live streamed on Facebook.

This Sunday, October 16, is the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture is Psalm 121. The sermon is "Helpers".  We will be celebrating a baptism.  The service will be on-site and Facebook live-streamed.
 
Sunday School will be during the church service on the second and third Sundays of the month. 
 
Confirmation Class is happening!  Parents, if you are interested in having your Ninth Grader or older involved, please contact me ASAP.

Neighbors in Need offering will be on October 2.  NIN supports the UCC’s ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries to fund a wide array of local and national justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects. Working with members of the UCC Justice and Peace Action Network, Justice and Witness continues its strong policy advocacy work on issues such as the federal budget, voting rights, immigration, health care, hate crimes, civil liberties, and environmental justice. NIN also supports our American Indian neighbors in the UCC. One-third of the offering supports the UCC’s Council for American Indian Ministries (CAIM). Please give generously. Envelopes will be available on Sunday.  Donations may also be made through EFT via our church website, www.huntingtonucc.org.

This Week September 13, 2022

 Dear Folk, 

Happy anniversary!  Today we celebrate 13 years together!
 
Thank you so much for the beautiful roses for our anniversary and for my 35th ordination anniversary on the 15th.  I appreciate your thoughtfulness! I am blessed!
 
This coming Sunday, September 18, is the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost.  The scripture is Luke 15:1-10.  The sermon is "Lost and Found".  
 
The choir will also be singing this Sunday.  If anyone would like to join in, the anthem is pretty simple.  Please be in the sanctuary no later than 9:05 a.m. for a brief practice.  
 
We are in the final weeks of our Season of Generosity which culminates at our “In-Gathering” Sunday on September 25. Our theme is “What HCCUCC Means to Me”. Please consider thinking and praying on this topic, jot down your thoughts and feelings, and send them to me to be used in a Sunday service.  One more is needed for September 25!   Your Faith Promise packet will be in the mail and via email at the end of this week. Thank you!

Thursday is my prayer day.  Please let me know if you have any joys or concerns you would like me to lift up to God.
 
This coming Sunday, September 11, is the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost.  At 11 a.m. we will be having an outdoor worship followed by our annual Church Picnic. The service will be live streamed on Facebook. Please note there is no 9:30 a.m. service.   The reservation deadline for the Church Picnic was Sunday, but you can still sign-up ASAP by contacting the church. The cost is $6 per person or $12 per family.  You can pay the day of the picnic.   We will be in the lower parking lot near the kitchen.  Please wear your HCCUCC T-Shirts and bring a chair.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks provided; please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Rain or shine!
