Enjoy the sunny day and keep cool!This coming Sunday, May 24, we will be celebrating Pentecost and commemorating Memorial Day. Four of our youth will be confirmed. The scripture is Acts 2:1-21. The sermon is "The Wild Goose". The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.
Congratulations to our Confirmands who will be confirmed this Sunday.
May 31 will be an outdoor worship service. Please bring a chair and wear red, white, and blue. We will be in the parking lot near the kitchen. In the event of rain or extreme heat, we will be in the sanctuary.
HCCUCC Annual Community Tag Sale - June 6, 9:00 to 2:00, (rain date June 13). Spots available for only $20. Questions? Call the church office at 203-929-1223
Women’s Fellowship will be collecting backpacks for local schools, and items for Church World Service school kits during June and July. Besides backpacks, we need the following: 3 subject notebooks, plastic water bottles, colored pencils box of 12, 2- pocket folders, 30cm/12” rulers, Hand-held pencil sharpeners, & pencil pouches. The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House May’s focus is soap, shampoo, and toothpaste. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box also needs to be stocked. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.
Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed – We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital.
