This coming Sunday, May 17, is the Seventh Sunday of Easter. The scripture is John 17:1-11. The sermon is "That They May Be One". The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.
On Sunday, May 24, we will be celebrating Pentecost and the Confirmation of four of our youth. Please make a special effort to come and join in the celebration!
HCCUCC Annual Community Tag Sale - June 6, 9:00 to 2:00, (rain date June 13). Time again to clean out and donate your gently used (or never used) items. This year we are requesting that items be dropped off at Reuman House after Sunday services in May. Please donate items that are not damaged and are as clean as possible. We are not accepting jewelry, random mugs (sets are acceptable), books, or games unless all pieces are intact. Any electrical items must be in working condition. Prefer your own spot? Only $20. All women are invited to the Women’s Fellowship Potluck Picnic on Thursday, June 11, 6pm at the Sember’s. Please let Laura Salvio or Sue Lindley know if you are interested. It’s a fun time!
Women’s Fellowship will be collecting backpacks for local schools, and items for Church World Service school kits during June and July. Besides backpacks, we need the following: 3 subject notebooks, plastic water bottles, colored pencils box of 12, 2- pocket folders, 30cm/12” rulers, Hand-held pencil sharpeners, & pencil pouches. The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House May’s focus is soap, shampoo, and toothpaste. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box also needs to be stocked. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.
Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed – We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available.
