Dear Folks,

Hope you are enjoying the newness of Spring!
Our Shelton Community Lenten Dinner & Devotions will be held on Wednesdays, March 26 at HCCUCC and April 9 at First United Methodist Church. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. followed by devotions at 7 p.m. The theme is "Unified in Hope". The offering will go to Spooner House. Please write checks directly to Spooner House.
This Sunday, March 30, is the Fourth Sunday in Lent. The scripture is Luke 15: 1-2, 11-32. The sermon is "Lost and Found". The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.
The One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be taken on March 30th. Through OGHS, lives are literally changed daily. Your support provides clean water, food, medicines, shelter, healthcare, education and so much more. Please give generously.
Pot Pie Day! Spooner House can use pot pies for their residents, so we are asking for frozen pot pie donations. Please bring them to church on Sunday, April 6, and we will make sure to bring them to Spooner House. There is so much need, please be generous.
VRRP is still active and investigating other avenues to bring the family to safety. Please watch for updates.
The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – There is a list of needed items in the Alcove. Please pick up a copy. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box is almost empty and needs to be stocked. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.
Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed. There are clean-ups happening still from flooding, tornados, and wildfires We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org.
Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray. Holy God, as we continue our journey through Lent, may we be conscious of all who walk with us. May we keep our human siblings in our thoughts and prayers and actions for a better world. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
