This Sunday, May 12, is the Seventh Sunday of Easter. The scripture is John 17:6-19. The sermon is "Beloved Community". We will be celebrating 3 baptisms! In honor of Mother's Day, Women's Fellowship will be giving out flowers to our women.
Sunday is also CHURCH WORLD SERVICE BLANKET SUNDAY - Every year, we take this offering to reach out with love to touch those in need. Last year thousands of CWS Blankets were distributed throughout the U.S. and across the globe. Share your blessings and increase the outreach this year. Envelopes will be in the pews, or you may us our electronic fund transfer option on our website.
Capital Campaign Pledges are due May 19. Please return your pledges as soon as possible! We are over halfway to our goal. Thank you to all who have already given and/or pledged.
Our May 26 service will be an Outdoor Worship. Please bring a chair and join us! In case of rain, we will be in the sanctuary.
Women’s Fellowship is collecting items to fill Church World Service Health kits soon! Needed: Hand towels, Wide tooth combs, Finger or toenail clippers, Bath size packaged bars of soap, Standard size band aids. A box for donations is in the Alcove. Questions? See Lois Ricker.
The Valley Refugee Resettlement Project will be meeting on Sunday, June 3 at 3 P.M. at the Derby Neck Library or via ZOOM, to reorganize to settle another family. Contact Bob Margolies for more info at: rmargolies@mac.com
Women’s Fellowship’s Annual Tag Sale is June 8th, 9 to 2 (rain date is June 15). Gently used and clean items may be donated and dropped off in Reuman House. We appreciate if you price them. Price stickers are available in the alcove. Spaces are available for $20, payable the day of the event. Donations of baked goods to sell that day are welcome! Questions? The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – There is a list of needed items in the Alcove. Please pick up a copy. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box also needs to be stocked. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.
Funds For Clean-Up Buckets Needed - Women’s Fellowship is collecting monetary donations for Church World Service Clean up buckets. Checks may be made out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line. You can drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays or you can use the on-line option on our website. The need now is urgent.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
