This Week June 28, 2022

 Hi Folks,

Hope you are enjoying the day!

This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost.  The scripture is II Kings 5:1-14.  The sermon is "Just Do It".  We will be celebrating Holy Communion.  The service is on-site, and Facebook live streamed.

Wednesday Night Concerts on the Green will resume on July 6 and run through August 31. There will be no concert on June 29. The Vitality Team is once again handing out water as a goodwill gesture to our community. Donations of bottled water would be greatly appreciated.  Please put it in the Fellowship Hall, marked with “COG”.

With the Concerts on the Green, the Men's Group's Hot Dog season is in full swing! Any guys out there who can help are welcome.

VALLEY REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT PROJECT needs volunteers! Tasks would include (but not limited to) teaching English as a second language, driving to appointments, setting up housing, getting supplies, and teaching driving skills. If you have any questions, please contact me or attend the Volunteer Meeting on July 9, 10 A.M. in our fellowship hall.

The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House is in need of these items: shelf stable milk and powdered milk, pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit and applesauce, garbanzo and navy beans, canned tuna and chicken, oatmeal and other cereals, and pasta sauce.  There is a box in the Alcove and also the "wishing well" in Fellowship Hall for your donations.  Please be generous!

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  Grace-filled God, may you hold us tight during trying times, giving us strength and courage to be agents of your compassion and empathy.  Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
