This Week May 11, 2021

 Dear Folks,

Hope you are having a pleasant week.

My Prayer Day is this Thursday, May 13.  Please let me know if you have any joys or concerns for me to raise up.

This Sunday, May 16, is the Seventh Sunday of Easter.  The scripture is John 17:1-11.  The sermon is “Together”.  The service will be live streamed on Facebook and saved on Facebook and YouTube for later viewing.

Just a reminder that reservation for Sunday worship in person are due by noon on Thursdays.  Folks may make reservations for a permanent seat if planning on coming regularly and only need contact the office if not coming.

The Women’s Fellowship Tag Sale is planned for June 12 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. with a rain date of June 19. Spaces are available for a $20 donation and are open to the public. This year, due to Covid, we will be spaced apart and tables from Fellowship Hall will not be available. We have plenty of room, no one will be turned away! As always, there will be a church table with items donated by our parishioners. If you have items to donate, call Denise Wilson first; do not bring them to church yet. Masks must be worn that day. We would like to have a bake table and all items must be wrapped in clear plastic. Donations of bottled water to sell are appreciated! Questions? call or text Denise Wilson at 203 218-7553.

The Men’s Group is looking for volunteers to help the day before the Tag Sale (Friday, June 11) at 3:00 p.m. We will be moving tag sale items from Reuman House to the area outside of RH so it doesn’t have to be done Saturday morning. Please text Steve Wilson at 203 947-1748 (leave your name) if you can help. Thanks!

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS app can be downloaded on your cell phone. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  Creator God, may you keep creating in us a desire to work for the good of all your people.  Help us to love one another as you love us.  Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
