This Week May 19, 2020

Dear Folks,

Hope you are all well. Enjoy the lovely day!

This Sunday, May 24, is the Seventh Sunday of Easter. Our service will be live streamed on Facebook at 9:30 A.M.

The scripture for Sunday is John 17:1-11. The sermon is "One".

This Sunday, we will be observing Memorial Day by sharing the names of our deceased military heroes. If you would like someone (or more than one) mentioned, please contact me with their name, rank, and branch by Thursday. I will send out a list with the Sunday bulletin on Friday. I will mention the names (first names due to privacy issues) during worship on Sunday.

The service will be saved and can be viewed later on Facebook or YouTube. I will send out the links on Sunday along with a summary of the sermon.

The "Strengthen the Church" offering is on May 31. The Strengthen the Church offering supports the expansion of ministry and growth of UCC local congregations. Your support of this offering will help the UCC fulfill on its commitment to creating a just world for all by investing in new ministries and practices that meet the emerging needs of local communities. Our own Silver Lake Conference center is a recipient of funds, as well as other Southern New England Conference ministries. See the offering blurb below as how you can give. Mark your donation clearly. Also, if you have not already given to the March One Great Hour of Sharing offering, please consider doing so. OGHS is our outreach into the world.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS+ app can be downloaded on your cell phone. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@s net.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give will be a blessing and greatly appreciated.

Prayers, as always, for you and yours.

Let us pray. O Holy One, may we continue to see your gifts, your glory, and your greatness even in the midst of uncertain times. May we feel the power of your presence. Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
