This Week January 16, 2019

Dear Folks,

Tomorrow, Thursday, January 17 is my prayer day. If you have any joys or concerns you would like me to raise up, please let me know.

This Sunday, January 20, is the Second Sunday after Epiphany. The scripture is John 2:1-11.  The sermon is "Changed".

THE 295th ANNUAL MEETING OF THE HUNTINGTON CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, UCC WILL BE HELD IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 20, 2019 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING OFFICERS, ACCEPTING THE 2019 BUDGET, AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS THAT PROPERLY COMES BEFORE THE MEETING. CHILD CARE WILL BE PROVIDED.  SNOWDATE: THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2019

Due to the iffy weather predicted this weekend, please check your emails Saturday night and Sunday morning in case we need to cancel the service and/or postpone the annual meeting. If there is no email from me, we are all set to go!

We are in need of Sunday School teacher volunteers. There is a signup sheet in the Alcove for those who would like to help volunteer as a teacher or a helper for a Sunday. Just sign up on the Sunday you would be available. Please help us continue to teach the love of God to our children!

New Member's Class will be held on Sunday, February 3 following worship. For more information, contact Rev. Lucille.

Let us pray. When the road gets hard and the terrain uneven, when we find that our comfort zone is being challenged and our security threatened, help us to trust in you, O God.  You do not promise us an easy life, but you promise a sustaining presence. Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
