This Week at HCCUCC March 31, 2026

Dear Folks,

We are in the midst of Holy Week. May we walk with Jesus during this solemn time.
The Lord's Supper will be on Maundy Thursday, April 2, 6:30 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. This is by reservation only.
Tenebrae will be held also on Maundy Thursday, at 7:45 P.M. in the sanctuary. All are invited.
The Good Friday service, The Seven Last Words of Christ will be on April 3 at noon. Both the Tenebrae and the Good Friday service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later.
Sacred Dance will be practicing Saturday, April 4 at 2 P.M. in the sanctuary.
As the dawn breaks on Easter morning, April 5, we will be worshipping on the hill at Jones' Family Farm at 6:30 A.M. with our Shelton community.
At HCCUCC, our Easter worship will be at our usual time of 9:30 A.M. The scriptures are I Corinthians 15:19-26 and Matthew 28:1-10. The sermon is "Do Not Be Afraid". We will be celebrating Holy Communion, so be sure to have your elements handy. The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday.
Choir and Sacred Dance practice will be held before worship at 8:30 A.M.
April 11 is the Third Annual Shredding Event & Food Collection in the church parking lot from 9 A.M. to Noon, rain or shine. Please save your important papers and documents and bring them on that day. The cost is $10.00 per average box or bag. We cannot dispose of bags or boxes, so you must take them home. Also, no paper clips or metal items can be shredded. We are also collecting non-perishable, non-expired food items for Spooner House. A portion of the proceeds will also go to Spooner House.
Our 16th Annual Treasures, Talents, and Tastes Auction will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 6 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall. Check the April Belfry, our website, and the Alcove for more information.
Spring Clean-up will be held on May 9, 9 A.M. to noon. Rain date is May 16.
The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House – March’s giving focus is canned tomatoes, rice, sugar, and feminine hygiene products. Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box also needs to be stocked. We are in winter protocol, so please, no items that can freeze! Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.
Women’s Fellowship is collecting items for CWS Hygiene Kits. See the list in the Alcove near the box for donations. Questions? See Lois Ricker. Thank you!
Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed – We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org.
Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray. Loving God, as we walk with Jesus through this time of horror and death, may we know that this not the last word. Joy dawns again on Easter morn. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
