This Week April 4, 2023

 Dear Folks,

May God's Spirit guide us through the drear of Holy Week into the glory of Easter.

Please note our Holy Week schedule:  Maundy Thursday, April 6 - Tenebrae at 7:45.  Good Friday, April 7 - service at noon.  Easter, April 9 - Sunrise Service at 6:15 a.m. Jones Family Farm, service at HCCUCC 9:30 a.m.  Tenebrae, Good Friday service, and 9:30 a.m. Easter service will be Facebook live-streamed; links will be sent after each service for later viewing.

This coming Sunday, April 9, is Easter.  The scriptures are Colossians 3:1-4 and Matthew 28:1-10.  The sermon monologue is “What Just Happened?”

We are so pleased to have our lovely Syrian family in our Valley and settled into their apartment in Derby. Thank you to all who make this possible! Continued support with your time, talents, and treasures is greatly appreciated!

SAVE THE DATE:  13th Annual Auction -- Saturday, May 13th 6:00 PM in Fellowship Hall!  More information is in the April "Belfry" and in the Alcove!

Thank you!

Community Tag Sale: Women’s Fellowship will again be holding our annual tag sale on June 10 (rain date June 17). You are welcome to have your own space or donate items to the church table. Please note that we cannot take items yet, and they may not be dropped off in Reuman House. As the time gets closer, there will be information on where and when to do this. Until then, please consider us as you do any spring clean-out!

Funds for Clean-up Buckets Needed - Women’s Fellowship is collecting monetary donations for Church World Service Clean up buckets. Checks may be made out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line. You can drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays or you can use the on-line option on our website. The need now is urgent.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions may be sent to the church through mail or please consider donating on our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  God of all goodness, as we travel with Jesus through this week of pain and tragedy into the light of the resurrection, may we know we never walk alone.  Amen.

In Christ's love,

Rev. Lucille
