This Week November 3, 2020

 Dear Folks,

Hope you voted.  If not, please do so.

This Sunday, November 8, is the Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost.  The scripture is Matthew 25:1-13.  The sermon is "Keep Shining."  Sunday School will be in session in the Fellowship Hall.

Please reserve your seat for Sunday worship by emailing the office at hcc@snet.net by Thursday.

The service will be live streamed on Facebook.  It will also be posted on Facebook and YouTube later.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to the HCCUCC Women's Fellowship Homeless Bags Project. They are still in need of these items:

  • Socks (men’s and/or women’s)
  • Pair of gloves
  • Small tubes of toothpaste
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Mask(s)
  • Packets of wipes for personal use and to wipe surfaces
  • Snack bars (like granola bars/protein bars individually wrapped)
  • Tubes of lip balm (Blistex, Chapstick, etc.)
  • Small tubes of hand cream
  • Nail clippers/emery boards
  • Bandaids  (a few in a bag—does not have to be a box)
  • If you prefer, you may make a financial donation to us and we will do the shopping.

A donation basket will be provided in the entrance way to the church Alcove.  You can drop off your items between 9 A.M. and Noon on weekdays or on Sunday mornings.  You may also drop of small items in the black HCC IO box.  Please do not hang anything off the box or leave anything outside the box.  Please do not leave anything in the postal box. Thank you!

If you have not returned your Faith Promise/Pledge card yet, please do so ASAP.  Thank to you all who have already!  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital.  Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS app can be downloaded on your cell phone.  Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available.  Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray.  O God, guide us into a future that is filled with justice and peace, kindness and compassion, generosity and grace, healing and wholeness.  Seep us in your love.  Amen.

In Christ's love,

Rev. Lucille
