Dear Folks,
Hope you are staying cool on these hot June days.
Prayers continue to rise for healing, justice, and peace in our nation and in our world.
This Sunday, June 28, is the Fourth Sunday After Pentecost. We will be worshiping outdoors at HCCUCC at 9:30 A.M. The scriptures are Psalm 119:129-136 and Matthew 13:31-339:35-38. The sermon is "Just a Pinch". This service will be in the Taize style of worship.
We are taking precautions to ensure the utmost safety of those in attendance. Of course, our safety is also contingent on you. Please wear masks and physically distance yourselves. For more information, please request our Outdoor Worship Guidelines.
The service will be live streamed and saved for those who choose not to attend in person. If you have any doubts or fears, please stay home.
We will be taking reservation to ensure we have enough space and to be able to have a complete attendance list in case people need to be notified of a Covid outbreak. Please contact the Church either on Facebook or by phone: 203-929-1223 by Thursday, June 25. If you do not make a reservation, you may still come on Sunday. However, a good sight line cannot be guaranteed.
If there is bad weather in the forecast, the on-site service will be canceled. The announcement of the cancellation will go out on Saturday. The service will still be live streamed on Facebook.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The GIVEPLUS+ app can be downloaded on your cell phone. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. However you choose to give will be a blessing and greatly appreciated.
O Holy God, as the sun shines on us, we are reminded of your everlasting light, warmth, and presence. Help us, in our own ways, to be your presence in our world, being a spark of your divine love in an often times loveless world. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
