Worship for January 2 & 9 Live-Steam Only

Dear Folks,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

It is with great sadness and an abundance of caution due to the surge in COVID cases that the HCCUCC Council has decided to have only Facebook live-stream worship for January 2 and 9.

This Sunday, January 2, we will be observing Epiphany. The scripture is Matthew 2:1-12. The sermon is "Another Road". We will be celebrating Holy Communion, so be sure to have your elements ready.

The service can be viewed on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC . It will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday. I will send out the specific links after worship on Sunday.

For those of you who are "members" of Facebook and Youtube, please be sure to like and share our Facebook page, subscribe to my YouTube channel, and like and share our services and other announcements. We are all a part of HCCUCC's outreach to the community! Tell your friends!

May 2022 be a better year!

Blessings!

Peace,
Rev. Lucille

This Week December 21, 2021

 Dear Folks,

Tonight is the longest night of the year. The light still shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it.
Thank you all for the generous gifts and the cards and the well-wishes of this season. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity!
With the surge of new COVID case, please remember that masks are required in the church building. Also, please be conscious of crowding and contact. Thank you!
The Longest Night service will be tonight at 6:30 P.M. This is in-person and Facebook Live-streamed. The bulletin is attached.
Christmas Eve Service is at 4 P.M. This is in-person and Facebook live-streamed. I will send out the bulletin later in the week.
The December service will be Facebook live-stream only. The scripture is Luke 2:21-32. The sermon is "A Time for Singing". I will send out the bulletin later in the week.
The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House is running low on food. Specifically needed items are: shelf stable milk and powdered milk, pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruit and applesauce, garbanzo and navy beans, canned tuna and chicken, oatmeal and other cereals, and pasta sauce. There will be a box in the Alcove and also the "wishing well" in FH for your donations. Please be generous!
Once again, Women’s Fellowship is collecting items to make bags to be given out to homeless individuals. Last year our church members took bags and handed them out when they came across someone in need. It was a successful ministry for us and certainly a necessary one as so many are without a home. With winter coming, we are again collecting items. Please take a sheet from the table in the alcove to see what items you can donate. Thank you!
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
Let us pray. O God, may the light, love, and warmth of the Christ Child seep into our hearts and change us for the better. Amen.
In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
