Dear Folks,
Stay dry and warm today!
This Sunday, October 3, is the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost. We will be celebrating World Communion. Please bring or have your elements ready. Elements will be available in the church building if needed. The scripture is Mark 10:13-16. The sermon is "Come to Me".
Thank you to everyone who returned their Faith Promise/Pledge cards. If you have not done so, please do as soon as possible. Your faithfulness and generosity are greatly appreciated!
This Sunday, we will be taking the 2021 Neighbors in Need “Unfailing Love” offering. This year's offering is focused on supporting organizations and projects that are serving our immigrant neighbors and communities. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). Two-thirds of this offering is used by the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to provide funding grants to UCC churches and organizations leading justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects in their communities. Envelopes will be available in the alcove. Donations may also be made through our church website.
Sunday, October 17, weather permitting, we will have an outdoor worship service. In case of unfavorable weather, we will be in the sanctuary.
Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions. Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.
Let us pray. O Holy One, hold us close to you so we may not only feel your loving presence, but be your loving presence in this world. Amen.
Peace,
Rev. Lucille
