This Week August 17, 2021

 Dear Folks,

Continued prayers for all the struggle, injustice, strife, and suffering in our world.

My prayer day is Thursday.  If you have a joy or concern you would like me to raise up, please let me know.

Just a reminder that Dick Dormer's calling hours at Riverview Funeral Home are on Friday, August 20 from 4 P.M. to 5:45 P.M.  followed by his funeral.

This Sunday is the Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost.  The scripture is Ephesians 6:1-17.  The sermon is "Armor of God".   The service will be live streamed on Facebook.

With the rise of COVID cases, masks are required in the church building for those unvaccinated and strongly suggested for those who are.  Let's keep everyone safe!

Following the service, there will be a Choir Meeting for anyone interested in the possibility of singing come the Fall.

We are in our Season of Generosity for 2022. This year's theme is “We Are All a Piece of the Quilt”. If anyone would like to do a live Generosity Moment or make a video, please contact me.  Thank you!

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. Contributions sent in by mail are welcome. Please consider donating at our website, www.huntingtonucc.org. The VANCO MOBILE app can be downloaded on your cell phone. Electronic Fund Transfer giving is also available. Please email the church, hcc@snet.net if you would like a form to set that up. Any way you give is a blessing and is greatly appreciated.

Let us pray. O God, sometimes it's hard to discern your love in this world. Open our eyes and hearts to see and feel it.  Open our hands and mouths to be it.  Amen.

In Christ's love,

Rev. Lucille
