HCCUCC This Week April 22, 2026


Dear Folks,

Hope you are stay warm and dry on this chilly and wet day!

This coming Sunday, April 26, is the Fourth Sunday of Easter.  The Confirmation Class has created and will be leading the service.  The theme is Celebrating Creation.  We will also be celebrating Getrude & Robert Wilson Sunday.  All are invited after the service to the Fellowship for ice cream! The scripture is Genesis 1:1-25.  The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday. 

There is still time to register!  Our 16th Annual Treasures, Talents, and Tastes Auction will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 6 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.  Check our website for more information.

Spring Clean-up - May 9 - Now that the days have gotten warmer, it is time to make our church grounds beautiful again.  Rain date is on Saturday, May 16. Don’t forget to bring your tools.

Our annual CWS Blanket offering will be on May 10. Our gifts provide blankets, tents, and emergency supplies in the wake of disaster. Our gifts also provide material assistance, education training and small enterprise loans as part of sustainable development programs. You may donate in person or online via our website: www.huntingtonucc.org. Please give generously to help those in need with a gift of hope.

HCCUCC Annual Community Tag Sale - June 6, 9:00 to 2:00, (rain date June 13).  Spaces are only $20. Questions?  Contact the church.

Women’s Fellowship will be collecting backpacks and certain school supplies for our Shelton Schools during June and July.  Watch for more details.

The Valley Food Bank at Spooner House - April’s focus is canned protein, chili, hash, and beans (can or bag).   Please use the box in the Alcove for donations. The Blessing Box also needs to be stocked. Our Spooner House Meal is on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Questions? See Holly or Gerry Fassbender.

Funds for Clean-up Buckets Urgently Needed – We are collecting monetary donations for Church World Service clean-up buckets. Please make checks out to HCC with “Buckets” on the memo line, then drop your donation in the bucket on Sundays, or use the on-line option on our website.

Please continue to support HCCUCC with your contributions.  Now more than ever, our mission of being the beacon of love and light on the Huntington Green and beyond is vital. HCCUCC This Week April 14, 2026



Dear Folks,


A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Women's Fellowship Third Annual Shredding Event and Food Drive.  It was a great success!

Women's Fellowship will be assembling Church World Service School and Health kits on Thursday, April 16, 7 P.M. in the WF rooms in the basement of Fellowship Hall.  Help always welcome as we seek to serve the world!

This coming Sunday, April 19, is the Third Sunday of Easter.  The scripture is Luke 24:13-35.  The sermon is "More Than a Meal".    The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday. 

Our Scout Troop 101 will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, April 19, 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. in our Fellowship Hall. Cost is $20 per adult, $10 for kids up to 12.  Please support our troop!

HCCUCC This Week April 7, 2026




Dear Folks, 

May we still be basking in the glow of the Resurrection morning, reveling in new life and new possibilities.
 
This Thursday, April 9, is my Prayer Day.  Please let me know if you have any joys or concerns you would like me to hold in prayer.
 
This Saturday, April 11, is the Third Annual Shredding Event & Food Collection in the church parking lot from 9 A.M. to Noon, rain or shine. Please save your important papers and documents and bring them on that day. The cost is $10.00 per average box or bag.  We cannot dispose of bags or boxes, so you must take them home. Also, no paper clips or metal items can be shredded. We are also collecting non-perishable, non-expired food items for Spooner House. A portion of the proceeds will also go to Spooner House.
 
This coming Sunday, April 12, is the Second Sunday of Easter.  The scripture is John 20:19-21.  The sermon is "Pease Be with You".    The service will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HCCUCC and will be available for viewing on Facebook and YouTube later on Sunday. 

Troop 101 will be holding a Spaghetti dinner in Fellowship Hall here at the church on Sunday, April 19, 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. Cost is $20 per adult, $10 per child up to 12.
