This Week April 19

Dear Folks,

I do hope you are enjoying this glorious, albeit, windy day!

Congratulations to Laura Salvio, who will be honored at the Connecticut Women of the UCC's spring meeting this Saturday for her faith, work, and commitment.

This Sunday's scripture is Revelation 21:1-6, and John 13:31-35.  The sermon is "Give Me Love, Give Me Peace on Earth".  The hymns for Sunday were purchased at the 2015 Church Auction by Gordon Harris.

This Sunday following worship, the Women's Fellowship is inviting all women for a light brunch and wonderful program.  Do you want to learn techniques to quit smoking, build self- confidence, obtain weight loss, or reduce stress among other things? Then please plan to join us to hear our speaker who will enlighten us on ways to achieve these and other goals.  If you are planning to attend and have not signed up, please contact Sue Lindley ASAP.

Saturday, April 30 is our day for Spring Clean Up on the church grounds.  Come on out around 9 and help spruce the place up.  Coffee and donuts will be provided.

The 8th Annual Treasures, Talents and Tastes Auction is fast approaching, Saturday, May 7th, 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.  Please contact Linda or Bob Sember for more information.  Lots of good stuff, so make sure you register and attend, maybe bring a friend or two or three!!

Let us pray.  O God, with all the pain and suffering in the world, we often turn it off, fearing we will be overwhelmed.  Help us to offer that fear to you, to continue to keep the world in our hearts and in our prayers, knowing that prayer makes a difference. Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
