This Week April 12

Dear Folks,

Hope you are keeping nice and dry on this drizzly day!

This coming Thursday is my prayer day.  Please let me know if you have any joys or concerns you would like me to lift up.  And, please know that I pray for you all!!

This coming Sunday, we welcome Robert Hitchcock as our supply organist.  The scripture readings are Psalm 23 and John 10:22-30.  The sermon is "Green and Still".

I am collecting favorite hymns for the summer services.  An insert will be in the bulletin, or you can contact me directly.  Please choose from the Pilgrim Hymnal for simplicity's and copyright's sake!

Women's Fellowship would like to invite all women of the church and a friend if they would like, to join us on Sunday, April 24th immediately following worship in the library. There will be a light brunch and a presentation on how hypnotism can aid in so many ways - relaxation, weight loss, stress relief, quitting smoking, building self confidence and more.  Please sign the sign-up sheet in the Alcove so we can plan accordingly. We look forward to a fun and fellowship!

The 8th Annual Treasures, Talents and Tastes Auction is fast approaching on Saturday, May 7th, 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Please contact Linda or Bob Sember.

The bin from My Sister’s Place is in Fellowship Hall for you to make your tax deductible donations. It will be there until the end of April. Please fill out the donation form, take your copy and attach or enclose their copy in with your items.

College Scholarships: HCCUCC offers its members college scholarships for those who are continuing their education in the fall (not restricted to high school seniors). Please contact the church office for an application form or to have one e-mailed to you. The due date for applications is May 22nd. Scholarships will be presented during the worship service on Graduate Sunday, June 19th.

Let us pray.  O God, thank you for the people that you put in our lives.  Special blessing are those who show us your love, your forgiveness, and your joy! May we be those special blessings. Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
