Dear Folks,

Enjoy the sun two days in a row!

All are invite to help out at the Auction Set-Up on Friday, May 10 at 6 p.m..  Please let Linda and Bob know so they know how much pizza to get.

And, that leads us to the Auction on Saturday, May 11 at 6 p.m.  If you haven't registered already, please do so by Friday by contacting Pat Tober.  Also, watch for another reminder email later today with more details!!!!  It's a great time, so be sure to come!

This Sunday, May 12 is the Fourth Sunday of Easter.  Also, a big happy Mother's Day for all our moms and for all who have been like moms to us.  The Confirmation has created and will be leading the service for Children's/Robert Wilson Sunday.  Everyone is invited after the service to fellowship hall for ice cream provided by a generous donation from Gertrude Wilson to celebrate Robert Wilson and all dairy farmers.

Church World Service Blankets offering will be taken on Sunday, May 19. Please be generous!

HCCUCC offers its members college scholarships for those who are continuing their education in the fall (not restricted to high school seniors). Please contact the church office for an application form or to have one e-mailed to you. The due date for applications is May 19. Scholarships will be presented during the worship service on Graduate Sunday, June 16.

Women’s Fellowship’s Annual Outdoor Tag & Bake Sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church parking lot. The cost is $20 per spot and/or donate your proceeds to Women’s Fellowship for their projects/missions. Having so many people together prompts more people to browse. We will also be looking for bake sale items. For more information, contact Denise Wilson.

“Miles for Marie”: Marie Adams was our Nursery School Director from 2000-2005. Miss Marie passed away in 2018. Join us for the inaugural launch of “Miles for Marie”, a charity walk in memory of Marie Adams on Sunday, June 9, at the Shelton Riverwalk.  All former students, family, coworkers and friends are invited to simply celebrate Marie and her amazing spirit. Monies raised will be donated in Marie’s honor to The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp which was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman with one simple premise in mind:  that every child, no matter their illness, could experience the transformational spirit and friendships that go hand-in-hand with camp. In addition, a scholarship will be created allowing Marie’s memory to forever live on. For more information or to donate, see Karen in the church office.

Let us pray.  Just as the sun always shines even if we do not see it or feel it, your presence shines, even if we do not see it or feel it.  Thank you for your everlasting love.  Amen.

In Christ's love,
Rev. Lucille
